  jesus had foretold that people of "last days" would “faint out of fear” because of things such as “sea-level rise’ as part of “signs of last days” in luke 21:25. bible translators—including new world translation of jehovah’s witnesses—missed the real meaning as they translated it as “roaring of the sea and its agitation.” (https://www.jw.org/en/library/bible/nwt/books/luke/21/).

  more careful translations such as niv put it: “roaring and tossing of the sea.” (https://biblehub.com/luke/21-25.htm) word for “tossing” is σάλου (salou), from saino; i.e., billow,” (swell outwards).

  thus underlying thought is like balloon swelling, or water flowing outwards, as though ready to roll over, thus points to the modern terminology “sea-level rise.” biblos interlinear translation (int:) translates it as “of [the] sea and rolling surge.” “rolling sea.” (a greek lexicon to the new testament, edward robinson (d.d., page 416) (a greek lexicon to the new testament on the basis of dr. robinson ... by c. robson).. jesus’ original use of the wording “tossing of the sea” is another way of saying “sea-level would rise” as a result of pollution of air.

  Fawlty Towers (1975) & (1979) - still laugh-out-loud funny after all these years

  so, i went and bought series one and series two on second hand dvd for one pound each.. i first saw series one of fawlty towers when i was about 11, then i saw series two a year later.. it's a little dated now, but that doesn't really matter because it's still making people laugh.

  that's all comedy is.. there is one episode - the kipper and the corpse - which i think is a bit rough around the edges, it's not as polished as some of the other episodes.

  but it still has some great lines in it, e.g.. the two old ladies: you're in a good mood today, mr fawlty.. basil: yes, well one of the guests has just died.

  For the Yanks here, what we call seasons are called series over there, which can be confusing because we use the word series to refer to the entire show, all seasons . . . or all series 😅

  of course it borrows from cults in general but some jw similarities as well, such as emotional propaganda videos, us vs them, telling new converts that they're going to be persecuted and told lies about the organization, end of the world fear etc.. here's an idea: if you're pimo, watch it with a jw relative and watch the discomfort ensue 😏.

Of course it borrows from cults in general but some JW similarities as well, such as emotional propaganda videos, us vs them, telling new converts that they're going to be persecuted and told lies about the organization, end of the world fear etc.

  Here's an idea: If you're PIMO, watch it with a JW relative and watch the discomfort ensue 😏

  Nobody votes for a political party based on their party platform from 150 years ago.

  It never ended, just adapted. The abortion that Sanger promoted at KKK meetings is still largest among black Americans. That and welfare which discourages marriage, leniency on drugs and violent crime and policies that attract such leeches trap the innocent and perpetuate a living hell in numerous democrat cities, and this is the modern-day plantation. I recommend you watch the film Uncle Tom, made BY Americans who are black, not African Americans. P.S. - REAL African Americans (ie immigrants) are far more successful than native black Americans, because they came here with appreciation for the country and a willingness to work towards their own success, and they haven't been hooked to the iv drip of brainwashing and feeling that one group of corrupt generational politicians is their only option.

  I would recommend to any who want to know what Democrats believe ... to stop in to visit ... during one of their meetings.

  Gee that sounds familiar. I guess this is a good way to find the truth about JWs as well?

  you're doing everything you can, meeting attendance, field circus, helping out where you can and you are told your not progressing!?!

  as anyone had that happen to them in the "trooth "?.

  If you want to progress you should:

  Wear the same dress and grooming as everyone else just to be safe.

  Attend all Zoom meetings and comment regularly, without too much original thought which can be risky.

  Go out in Zoom ministry at least once a week.

  Speak highly, even gush, about the GB and The Organization.

  Kiss ass of the local big shots. If you already are, step it up by pulling the cheeks apart and nuzzling right up on in there.

  Anyone can do it if you lose that pesky self-respect!

  i find it astonishing that humanlike feet could have existed that long ago.

  i wonder if some non-human upright ape might have had that kind of feet that long ago.
